Required to be installed in the lower card cage, a pre-owned or new surplus GSR12-CSC clock scheduler card is designed for use with the Cisco 12012 router. An additional new or refurbished GSR12-CSC can be added to increase the amount of data able to be transferred between line cards. Functions of a new or used GSR12-CSC include: scheduler to handle requests for the line cards for access to the switch fabric, a system clock which synchronizes data transfers between line cards or line cards and the RP through the switch fabric, and switch fabric circuitry.
