The NM-4B-U, manufactured by industry leader Cisco Systems, is a four port ISDN-BRI with a built-in NT-1 Network Module designed to provide a multitude of features such as: support the ISDN MIB; integrate with CiscoWorks and CiscoView management tools; enable users to query the network module; support plain old telephone service (POTS) call redirection to internal digital modems; and have traps to monitor the network module.

NM-4B-U is supported in all Cisco IOS software releases on the Cisco 2600XM, 3620, 3640, 3631, 2691, 3725, and 3745 platforms. It is supported in 11.3(4)T, all 12.x on the Cisco 2600 platform and 12.0(7)XK, 12. 1T, 12.2 and 12.2T on the Cisco 3660 platform.
