The Cisco VIC-2DID, or Two-port DID (Direct Inward Dial) voice/fax interface card, is a plug-in module voice interface card designed to operate in DID default mode. The product supports Caller ID in FXS mode only. When used in the DID mode, the VIC-2DID supplies -48 V that cannot be changed, but when used in FXS mode, idle voltage may be changed to either -24 V or -48 V making it versatile and cost-effective. The VIC-2DID card is not supported on Cisco 1750 routers and Catalyst 4000 and 6000 series family switches.
