The Cisco AIM-VPN/HPII-PLUS, or DES/3DES/AES VPN Encryption/Compression, is an Encryption Module supported by Cisco IOS Release 12.3(5), 12.3(6), and 12.3(7)T for the Cisco 3660 and 3745 routers. Restrictions for the AIM-VPN/HPII-PLUS should be noted. RSA manual keying is not supported and to achieve maximum benefit from hardware-assisted IP Payload Compression Protocol (IPPCP), it is suggested that prefragmentation be disabled if IP compression with the LZS algorithm is enabled on IP Security (IPSec) sessions. This Virtual Private Network encryption hardware enhances the security of your VPN, providing additional data security.
