They integrate real-time contextual awareness, full-stack visibility, and intelligent security automation to deliver effective security, reliable performance, and a lower cost of ownership. Threat protection can be expanded with optional subscription licenses to provide Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) and application visibility and control.

Optimized for network security processing, FirePOWER delivers breakthrough performance with purpose-built hardware acceleration technology and by using three separate data processing stages, each custom designed for particular workloads. With eight throughput models (from 50 Mbps to 1.25 Gbps) and up to 12 available ports to support mixed media, the Cisco FirePOWER 7000 Series enables you to deploy security appliances based on network link and organizational use case requirements.

While other Cisco FirePOWER 7000 Series Appliances provide fixed connectivity (either copper or fiber), the Cisco FirePOWER 7115 and 7125 appliances support mixed-media capabilities in 12 available ports-4 copper configurable-bypass ports and 8 non-bypass Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) socket ports. This mixed-media and increased port density easily integrate with your existing network environment and allow you to address more network configurations with a single device. The Cisco FirePOWER 7000 Series Appliances perfectly complement the higher-throughput Cisco FirePOWER 8000 Series Appliances.
